2.8.2. A note about PATHs¶
PATHs
The installation instructions in this documentation should have left
you in a situation where you do not need to manualy alter your
environment $PATH
variable. There is no longer a $PYTHONPATH
environment variable for processing.
For the Virtual Computer, it has already been done.
For the Anaconda install, the Anaconda installation takes care of changing your
$PATH
.For the Linux installation, we are putting everything in “system” locations so all the pieces are already on your path.
Please email uhdas@hawaii.edu
if you want instructions about installing
the CODAS processing code on a Linux machine in a location other than
the standard system location. It can be done, but requires a little bash
bootstrapping, and is not for beginners.
topog
Make sure the topog
directory is in the right place.
For the Virtual Computer, this has already been done.
For Anaconda, you must copy or link
topog
into the root anaconda directory (for OSX or Linux, it is~/anconda
)For the system Linux install, it should be moved or linked into
/usr/local/topog
