The \*_xy.mat and \*_uv.mat files contained here use code like the
following in matlab to turn the matrices into x,y,u,v,z:


- VECTOR DATA  (more averaging in time and vertical)
- CONTOUR DATA (higher resolution in the time and vertical)

Example:
