Unless you have a good reason to output additional messages, it is
better not to.  VmDas can get bogged down if there are too many serial
messages coming in.  For instance, if the serial output is dedicated
to the ADCP, it not necessary to output $GPVTG, $GPHDT, or $PRDID
messages.
