:: The description for DOS (i.e. a DOS commandline under Windows) should work for either W98 or W-XP. In an effort to simplify things, I have chosen a mechanism that works for both, though may not be the best for either. There is a .BAT file provided which is on your path (once you get that set up) and which should not need to be edited. (1) setting up your processing directory: adcptree_py adcptree_py - passes the arguments straight through to the python program, adcptree.py - type "adcptree_py" with no arguments for more help (2) Processing the data: quickadcp_py quickadcp_py: - takes one argument, the name of the control file - type with no arguments for more help EG. to process LTA files (1) type "adcptree_py --help" to see the options available (2) follow the instructions for LTA, such as adcptree_py vg0404 --instclass os --datatype lta (3) type "quickadcp_py --commands LTA" to remind yourself of the options (4) make an appropriate control file (5) run it: cd vg0404 quickadcp_py --cntfile q_py.cnt
