3.1. UHDAS at Sea

UHDAS, University of Hawaii Data Acquisition System, runs on a linux computer at sea. It performs data acquisition and preliminary processing on the ADCP and ancillary data feeds, providing data at sea for operations or immediate sicience use, and monitoring of the system. It sends a daily email back to Univ. Hawaii to the UHDAS Team, who look for signs of problems.

This portion of the documentation provides introductions to UHDAS operations at sea for scientists and shipboard techs.
