3.1.8. UHDAS Data Policy

Scientists are free to walk off the ship with copies of figures from the web site and the matlab files distributed there.

We do not in general post-process the data. Post-processing code is available on the WWW at https://currents.soest.hawaii.edu, and on the ship at http://currents/adcp. Unless the ship has a particularly good network connection and you are allowed to download software from the net, we advise you to set up your computer before you go out to see if you wish to do more than load the at-sea data products. Please contact us if you have any questions.

These data are not fully processed.

If you intend on any serious use of these data, you will have to put the finishing touches on the data.

If you do take the time to post-process the ADCP data, we strongly encourage you to submit it to the Joint Archive for Shipboard ADCP, JASADCP. This is also a good place to get data which have already been processed.
